The Nature Project is born in Ibiza out of love and respect towards natural paradises and the need to protect them from the environmental impact generated during the summer months.
The consumption and management of plastics at a global level requires specific and continuous work. Our project contributes to:
Improving the quality of beaches, sea, and marine life of Ibiza and Formentera by supporting the public administration’s cleaning-up efforts to remove waste from the marine environment.
Raising environmental awareness on the reduction of polluting waste that ends up in the sea. Educational actions and pedagogical art in urban beaches, social events, and public

Every year there are more plastics floating in the Mediterranean sea, mainly due to the lack of a management system in several Mediterranean countries, the uncontrolled action of large vessels, and the saturation of yachts during the summer months. These floating plastic materials end up reaching many coastal points of Ibiza and Formentera. But the plastics and waste we find on our beaches and coasts, is not only brought in by currents from other places, a great part is generated on the islands by people that are visiting or that live on the island and do not realise the real impact their having on the environment.
It is the responsibility of us all to take care of the footprints we leave behind.
Last year thanks to donations made to the Nature Project and our incredible team, more than 15 tons of waste were removed from Ibiza’s sea and beaches.
This year we hope to remove 200 tons.
